General Questions

What is Itura?

Itura lets you build and use custom, database-backed applications entirely through chat. You describe your app in plain English, and Itura generates a working application with its own secure database and an AI that understands your rules.

Who is Itura for?

Two audiences: Builders who want to create apps without writing code, and End‑Users who use those apps through a conversational interface.

How does Itura work?

1) Write a simple text specification that describes your app. 2) Itura provisions a secure database and an AI assistant that understands your app. 3) End‑users use the app through chat to create, query, and update data.

Do I need to learn Markdown or special syntax?

No. Specs are plain English text. Use everyday language; Itura guides you as needed.

Building & Using Apps

What goes into an app specification?

Include an overview, user roles, entities, relationships, security and permissions, and any data constraints (for example, unique emails).

Can I change the spec later?

Not yet. Editing an app’s specification after initial generation isn’t supported today, but it’s on our roadmap. For now, you can draft an updated spec and generate a new version.

How do end‑users interact with the app?

Through chat. Users ask for actions and data in natural language, and the AI executes within their role permissions.

What kinds of actions are supported right now?

Today Itura focuses on analytics and insights. You can ask for totals, summaries, trends, comparisons, lists, and filtered views of your data. Outbound automations like sending emails, push notifications, scheduled exports, or third‑party integrations are not available yet.

Can I customize the AI’s behavior?

Yes. Provide system instructions to tailor how the AI responds and operates within your app. Each user can craft their own instructions to suit their personal workflow and needs.

Security & Data

Is my data safe with Itura?

Yes. Data is protected with encryption at rest and in transit. Each app has its own set of SQL tables protected by row-level security (RLS) so only app users can access their data.

Do you sell my data?

No. Our business is a subscription service — never selling your personal or company information.

Do you use my data to train AI models?

We may use prompts and AI‑generated responses to improve the service. We do not use your app’s database contents or uploaded files to train models, and you can opt out.

Who owns the data in my app?

You do. Under GDPR, you are the "Data Controller". Itura acts as the "Data Processor," processing data on your behalf and according to your instructions.

Pricing & Limits

What’s included in the Free plan?

100 messages per month, 100 MB file uploads, and 100 MB database storage.

What’s included in the Pro plan?

1,000 messages per month, 1 GB file uploads, and 1 GB database storage. The Pro plan also offers opportunities to test new features.

What counts as a "message"?

Typically one interaction with your app’s AI assistant — a single user instruction or response.

What happens if I exceed my monthly limits?

Service may be limited until the next cycle. Consider upgrading if you anticipate higher usage.

Can I change or cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel through account settings. See our Terms of Service for details including refunds for first‑time purchases within 14 days.
